Some gardening friends from Chanticleer shared this little fine-textured perennial with us recently and we have grown quite fond of it. It was discovered by Liz Fial of Calflora Nursery and is believed to be a hybrid between flowering oregano and culinary oregano, so it is not used for cooking. We absolutely love its foliage fragrance and pink stacks of flowers that start coming on in June. Lizzie is a great plant for pollinators and it works well as a dried flower. Full sun, no crowding and good drainage will help it thrive.
