We got this Goldenrod as an unlabeled selection at a nursery in Indianapolis, IN in 2018 and planted it in our garden. We have been so pleased with its performance. It doesn’t spread rampantly, and it has nice sturdy stems that produce large inflorescences of pollinator-attracting golden flowers. This one is easy to grow, tolerates many soil types and starts flowering in August when many perennials are taking a rest. Always remember, Goldenrods are not the source of hay fever/nasal allergies. They just happen to bloom at the same time as ragweed (the true culprits). Ragweeds are wind pollinated (tiny pollen) whereas Goldenrods are insect pollinated (large sticky pollen that’s not easily dispersed).
