Blue Glory Vine is categorized as a scandent plant and not an actual vine. It’s one of those plants that doesn’t quite know if it wants to be a vine or a shrub. It doesn’t twin or have tendrils but works great in a container with an iron obelisk or other support that it can lean on or be tied to. Blue Glory Vine can be brought inside and treated like a house plant during winter. I’ve heard of gardeners over-wintering it outdoors in the Dallas, TX area so it may possibly survive a southern Oklahoma winter in a protected location. We absolutely love this tropical’s huge vivid purple flowers with yellow centers.
