For years I had seen Fiona Sunrise Jasmine growing in gardens in the Philadelphia area and wondered how it would perform here in the South. It was after I saw it doing well in Jackson, TN that I tried it here and have absolutely loved it ever since. Originating at Fromefield Nursery in the UK, this twining climber sports gold lacy foliage that holds its color quite nicely through our Oklahoma summers. We love growing it on a small obelisk placed inside a tall container. Fiona Sunrise Jasmine is hardy to zone 7a so it can over-winter in protected areas in Southern Oklahoma. We’ve grown it successfully in full sun all day in our Stillwater garden but it may look nicer with some afternoon shade when grown west of here.
