Punica granaturm (Dwarf Hardy Form)

There are several things we love about this small flowering shrub. Dwarf Pomegranate has gorgeous frilly double orange flowers and small fine-textured leaves. It is also a small enough shrub that it can be mixed into perennial gardens. This particular selection was given to us years ago by the late Jim Eck who grew it in the parks of Ponca City, OK when he was superintendent. He told us that he got this form years ago in southeastern Oklahoma and then grew it for decades in the northern part of the state demonstrating its cold hardiness.
