Many gardeners refer to Pacifica Mum as an exquisite designer plant because of its uniform habit and coloring. The leaves of this perennial are white or silvery along the edges and underneath giving it a sort of variegated appearance. Small yellow rayless (?Petal-less?) daisies appear in fall and contrast well with the excellent texture of the foliage. For this reason the plant is sometimes referred to as Silver and Gold Mum. Slowly spreading to form a ground cover over time, Pacifica Mum is well suited to a spot in the front of a border and is occasionally used in mixed containers.
