There is a reason this Milkweed is called a giant. It can easily reach 4 feet or more in a single season, it has massive blue-green leaves, and all summer it produces large clusters of alien-like flowers of dark and pale lavender. Most commonly found in India, it also occurs in Asia and Africa. Although Giant Milkweed isn’t native to North America, it is still sometimes fed upon by Monarch Butterfly caterpillars. Try growing it in a large container so it can be brought inside for the winter.
