We found this tender gem of a shade plant at a nursery in Cairns, Australia in 2004 and have been enamored with it ever since. In picturing the blooms, imagine someone has taken the pink terminal flower clusters of Brazilian Plume and spread them all along graceful arching stems. The brilliant electric pink flowers really add a spark to shaded parts of the garden. Pretty in Pink Diantera also makes an outstanding subject for patio containers with its picturesque arching habit. Jimmy Turner of the Dallas Arboretum told me recently how much he likes this plant.
