Hibiscus are some of the easiest perennials to grow. Their exotic tropical looking flowers produced on plants that readily survive Oklahoma winters seem almost unreal. Plum Fantasy is a new selection we have fallen in love with primarily because of its unique flowers. The petals of these 8 inch blooms have a most novel crinkly texture. This characteristic sets it apart as something out of the ordinary among Hardy Hibiscus. The color is wonderful as well. The blooms are heavily saturated in magenta-purple with a dark center. Like other Hardy Hibiscus, Plum Fantasy starts flowering around mid-summer and continues until first frost.
