In the mid 1980’s When I was working for the City of Tulsa at Woodward park, this exotic looking white spidery flower would bloom each spring and everyone wanted to know what it was. Growing from a huge below ground bulb, Native Spider Lily is usually found in moist low lying areas like marshes and ditches but does well in regular garden conditions. Native to the Southeastern part of Oklahoma and a few nearby southern states, this plant is surprisingly easy to grow and gives you such strange and incredible blooms.
