A Fairly new plant to the horticulture trade is this little golden gen from South America. It keeps low to the ground with its trailing habit and puts forth its lemony colored flowers for several months during the growing season. Gold Dust Mecardonia also works great as a spiller in mixed containers. Pronounced may-ker-do-nee-a and longing to the plant family Plantaginaceae, it will sometimes over-winter here in Oklahoma during mild years.
