Butter Bits is a nice little mounding shrub-like plant related to Hibiscus. It blooms off and on throughout the growing season with charming buttery-yellow flowers. The blooms do something cool as they age. They fade to a unique red-orange color, providing an interesting effect. This little South African native is a good plant for butterflies and it may actually survive an Oklahoma winter if planted in a protected location.
