We first saw this attractive silvery plant cascading out of nicely planted garden urns at Dixon Gardens in Memphis, TN and had to have it. Nicoletta Plectranthus has great heat and humidity tolerance and grows well in sun or partial shade. A 1998 Plant Select award winner, it can be thought of as sort of a silver Sweedish Ivy. This Coleus relative was given high marks in field trials conducted by the University of Florida and has performed splendidly in our gardens as well. It makes for a beautiful large-leaved spiller for mixed containers.
