There are so few truly blue flowering plants that thrivein hot summers like we experience here in Oklahoma. That’s why Cape Plumbago is such a valuable addition to our gardens and containers in this area. Its absolutely blue and heat-tough flowers form huge attractive rounded clusters. I once had someone ask me if it was a blue geranium. The flowers look similar but the plant isn’t remotely related. This South African native attracts lots of butterflies but no deer.
