Euthamia sp

The Euthamias are know as Grass-leaved Goldenrods or Flat-topped Goldenrods, or Simply Goldentops.  They were formerly included in the genus Solidago.  These native perennials have clusters of small bright yellow flowers in summer and fall that are loved by butterflies and other pollinators.  They are easy to grow and are great additions to native, butterfly and prairie gardens.  This species we collected in McCurtain County in far SE Oklahoma around 2020.  It could possibly be E. leptocephala or the even more rare E. oklahomensis.  It also looks a lot like E. caroliniana, though it is not supposed to occur in Oklahoma.
